The goal of Ethiopia
Education Endowment Fund's Development
Committee, in partnership with PC (USA)
and Western Wollega Bethel Synod, is to
raise funds via the endowment to underwrite and continue improving the
education programs of Berhane Yesus Elementary School,
Bethel Evangelical Secondary School, and
Gidada Bible School, which are historically
connected to the mission work of PC (USA).
EEEF’s initiatives allow for these schools to continue their mission of
preparing the people of Western Wollega for all facets of life, and
ministry through quality curriculum, educational training, and Christian
teaching and leadership programs.
Young people receiving an education from any one of these
institutions offer much hope for change in a community, and country that
continues to experience the oppression of poverty in an uncertain
existence. |
While EEEF's primary focus is long-term development, we also recognize the
significant, immediate needs of our schools, and daily challenges for their
administrators. Recruiting and securing quality educators to teach our students
is vital to their success, and laying the foundation for their futures.
Volunteering time and talent, an outgrowth of the
Development Committee's' work, is also important. We value, and embrace those interested in joining mission
work teams to Dembi Dollo, and invite you to learn more about our
projects, which are separately funded by
each mission team. Coming soon, you will be able to apply online
indicating your interest - individual or group - in serving.
